DISCIPLING AND LAUNCHING BIBLICAL ADULTS
The Gospel of Jesus Christ can transform anything and anyone ...
For Concilium, the biblical transformation of thought and attitudes toward security practices is just one facet of our ministry. We would not be content to train people to be safe and aware if we were not also helping them to learn how to better follow Jesus in every aspect of their lives.
Transform exists to take our vision for discipleship beyond the security training context. Through preaching, writing, special events and retreats, and consultations with youth leaders and other ministers, we seek to bring into local churches a fresh concept of "biblical adulthood."
What is a biblical adult? It is a Christian equipped to take on responsibility as a follower of Christ to become a reproducing member of the Church, a disciple who makes disciples by living a life of faith, honor, loyalty, courage, and sacrifice. Biblical adults find their self-worth in loving and knowing Jesus. Their lives are defined not by what they do but by who they are. Their pursuit of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) flows from their obedience to the Greatest Commandment (Deut. 6:5; Matt. 22:37-39)... to love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, and strength ... and that second one like it ... to love their neighbors as themselves.
This concept can be applied to all ages and walks of life, but we especially focus on youth and their parents, young adults, and military or law enforcement personnel who identify as "warriors" or "guardians."
